Critical Film Review

It's about  a man who quits his house to tear down his old worn out house and then to rebuild it into his dream house. What he ends up doing is also opening the eyes of his family and neighbors.

This movie had more of a dark humorous tone to it. It's a bit clique but it's not to the extreme. Most of the main and background characters are clique. For example, the son is a troubled teen because his parents are divorced at the fault of the dad for being so focused on his job rather than the family. The mom was so sick and tired of living in that run-down house that she left the husband for a richer one. The neighbors are all just as troubled as the main family of this movie.

When I had first originally started watching this film, I didn't like how cheesy it was starting off. I did like the dark humor and risks they used for the movie. Later after the film had progressed, I had started to enjoy the story line along with the characters. The combination of it all made it seem like any other clique film but also made it seem more unique. I give it a thumbs up with a high recommendation for the film. My rating would be a 8 out of 10.

Perseverance

I've had set short term goals throughout my life and so far I've either have accomplished them or given up on them. I've thought about setting up some long term goals before. Some I think I could accomplish them with time and work and others will take a life time of dedication. Nothing is ever easy so setting up marks in your life will even out the hardship that would have to be put into course for said goals in life to occur.

A goal I have so far is that I want to be able to be fluent to at least 5 languages before turning 30. I plan to achieve this by taking some courses and asking people that are native to those languages. It's like having a personal tutor while taking the class. This would help me speed up my learning process.

Another goal I've set out for myself was to open up a successful restaurant. I'll need to plan everything out before even thinking on starting a business. Starting off with what the plating will be to the employees. I'll need to know what my financial goals will be at the time and how much money I could spend to start it off.

Grocery List: milk, apples, bread, chips, juice, mustard, candy, butter, bananas, pasta

I played Trick or type, keyboard revolution, and spacebar invaders. Trick or type was my favorite because of how it went at my pace and it was words not just letters.

My Top Three Horror Television Shows

1.  The Twilight Zone

This show was one of the first shows I could remember watching when I was little. It's a classical horror show with a psychological effect to it. There is always a twist at the end of the episodes that makes you think differently about something. There hasn't been an episode in my opinion without that effect. My favorite episode is The Eye of the Beholder.

2.  Dexter

This is also a psychological show about a guy that everyone thought was normal yet he wasn't quite so. I like how this show makes you contradict with yourself about how you'll think you know someone but in reality no one really knows each other. I also like how the main character gets away with murder every single time and doesn't get caught, but if he does, it's a twist at the end.

3.  The Strain

What I like about this show is how their version of the "first vampire" came to happen. It all started with a "virus" and it changes the genetic make-up of the humans. I love how it makes the human race seem less superior when we're the pray. It's a show that happens during the "end of human kind" and develops how the very few have save it and I like to this how accurate it is to me.

Bucket List

1.  To become fluent in French- I had taken a few courses in French but I never really learned the language so now I want to master it. I really want to try this time on learning the language and being able to say that I can speak three languages.

2.  Visit the Seven Wonders of the Modern World- I have always wanted to see them since I was little. A family friend had told me they have visited all seven with pictures to show me.

3.  Open a restaurant- I have a passion for culinary and so I want to open up a place with my own touch to it.

4.  Go backpacking through Europe- I've had a goal to visit as many countries as I can in Europe.

5.  Go sky diving- My fear of heights has always bothered me and I think this would take the fear away.
